Two People Dead in Related Accidents on Peotone-Wilmington Road

Will County Sheriffs police say two people were killed Saturday night in what turned out to be two separate accidents on Wilmington Peotone Road just a half mile west of I-57.  In the first crash police say 23 year old Jake W. Murdock of Manhattan was riding a motorcycle when he allegedly struck 26-year-old Ethan R. Ullrich of Manteno who was on foot. The motorcycle then went on to strike a mailbox.   Ullrich was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police say Murdock’s body was found in the roadway after he was then stuck by a passing SUV.  It’s not clear is Murdock was dead or alive when he was hit by the SUV.  NO tickets have yet been issued to the driver of The SUV.
