Child Found Safe

A bit of good news this afternoon. Newton County Sheriff’s police report a four-year-old child is home safe after getting lost in a corn field in Iroquois Township in rural Newton County earlier this morning. Reports say Newton County Deputies with the help of off-duty deputies, Jasper County Sheriff’s Police, Goodland Police, Indiana State Police, Brook Police and several surrounding fire departments gathered to search for the child until they were found safe and returned to their family.
