State Police to Conduct Special Patrols Tonight

The Illinois State Police have announced they’ll conduct occupant restraint enforcement or OREP patrols in Kankakee, Ford and Iroquois Counties tonight. Troopers say the special patrols allow them to focus on compliance with safety belt and child safety seat laws. The ISP says half of all the people killed in traffic crashes last year were not buckled up.
