Mother Nature has not been kind to Gibson City lately. Last month they were hit with an estimated 10 inches of rain that flooded the town, during Storms Tuesday night it was wind that did the damage. Mayor Dan Dickey tells the News Gazette that 70 mile an hour straight line winds hit the northern part of town hard. Trees were blown down, buildings were damaged and power outages were common. Nobody was reported hurt in any of that.
