Job Fair a Bust

Where have all the workers gone?  That’s what many employers are asking each other after a recent job fair at Northfield Sq. Mall brought out almost as many employers as applicants.  The Daily Journal reports that 29 employers took part in the job fair held August 26 ^th with over 1100 job openings, but only about 30 prospective employees showed up.  The most recent unemployment numbers from the state shows Kankakee jobless rate at 6.1 percent.
