Bond has been set at half a million dollars for a Mississippi man in connection with the weekend shooting outside a bar in Bourbonnais. The 18 year old victim was struck multiple times with gunfire in the face and forearms. The Daily Journal reports he is in critical, but stable condition at a Chicago area hospital. 22 year old Isaac Smith allegedly opened fire after he and three others left the bar on Main Street Northwest around closing time Sunday, police say they were met in the parking lot by the occupants of two vehicles and a fight broke out. Smith and his group fled the scene, but were arrested by Kankakee Police a short time later without incident. Smith has been charged with attempted murder.
