Arrests Made in Tanker Body Case

Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police report a pair of arrests have been made in connection with that body found in a fuel tanker outside Buckley back in June. In a press release, Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police say their department in cooperation with the Kankakee Police Department and the US Marshals Services, arrested 33-year-old Billy T. Roof the third of Kankakee and 37-year-old Ryan D. Morrow of Tallula Illinois following an investigation into the death of Garrett Meyer, whose body was found inside the tanker on June 4th. Reports say both Roof and Morrow were taken to the Iroquois County jail, charged with unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle and unlawful concealment of a death. Additionally, Roof was charged with unlawful use of account numbers. The Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police say the investigation into Meyer’s death continues and ask anyone with any information call their office at 815-432-6992.
