Pembroke Man Shot & killed Tuesday Evening

Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police and the Coroner’s Office are looking into the death of a 20-year-old Pembroke man last night. County Coroner Bob Gessner says Jose Ortega was pronounced dead just after five last night after he was found in lying in a yard at 12-thousand-984 Sneeds Court. Ortega was pronounced dead at the scene. Gessner says Ortega appears to have died of at least one gunshot wound. He says an autopsy today will provide more information.
