Kankakee City Police make Gun Arrest

Kankakee City Police report a domestic disturbance Wednesday ended with a gun arrest. According to reports, officers were called to a home in the 800 block of Prospect just before eight yesterday morning for a possible domestic problem. When they got there, they talked to 30-year-old Tanairi Cintora who told police that while she was at the home a juvenile male came up behind her and put her in a choke hold. She said she was able to get free and he took off running from the home. Cintora told police she’d grabbed a handgun and fired two shots at him as he ran away. The juvenile was taken into custody for aggravated domestic battery while Cintora was arrested for aggravated discharge of a firearm.
