The number of domestic violence cases in Kankakee County was a topic of discussion again at this morning’s Kankakee County Board Criminal Committee meeting. During his portion of the meeting State’s Attorney Jim Rowe said there are domestic related arrests every day
Sheriff Mike Downey echoed those statements
Downey added domestic violence cases have been segregated in the county jail
Downey said the training can be inconsistent due to the varying lengths of times people spend in the county lock-up.
