The Kankakee County Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual State of the County Breakfast this morning at the Knights of Columbus Hall in downtown Kankakee. Among the speakers was Kankakee County States Attorney Jim Rowe who praised Kankakee County for leading the way when it comes to addressing trauma
The County Board recently signed an agreement with Riverside to rent space to them for juvenile services to be rendered in the Courthouse setting, addressing those issues as the juvenile enters the system. Rowe did point out though that domestic violence is a growing issue in Kankakee County
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
