Pedestrian struck and killed on I57 Sunday night

Illinois State Police report a crash on the interstate near the Will/Kankakee County line killed a pedestrian Sunday night. Reports say the accident happened on the southbound side of the interstate just before 7:30 last night near Wilmington-Peotone Road. State Police say a southbound car hit a pedestrian. Troopers say the pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene. The interstate was closed for about three hours before reopening late last night. State police haven’t released any other information about the crash.
