The Village of Bourbonnais’ second annual “Holiday Homes & Holley Jolly Lighting Contest” is officially underway. Village Marketing and Public Engagement Manager Lindy Casey says the contest is starting a little earlier this year than last
Casey says there’ll be an online map of all the entry locations so anyone can to look at the entries between December third through the 25th. Registration for the contest is now open on the Village’s website and Casey adds registration is a little different this year
Winners will be named in the traditional category as well as the popular people’s choice category which includes Facebook voting online. Last year some eight-thousand votes were gathered on Facebook and the online map was viewed over 15-thousand times.
35 homes registered last year for the contest. This year’s registration deadline is Monday November 29th.
