Kankakee Mayor Chris Curtis will host is first free turkey give-away this Saturday in the parking lot of the municipal building on South Indiana Avenue in Kankakee. Curtis says it’s something he’s wanted to do for a long time.
Curtis says the goal is to provide families with a traditional Thanksgiving meal at a time where prices are going up and more people are unable to afford it
