Manteno Man Says he was Shot at Kankakee bar

Just after one Saturday morning a Manteno man reported he’d been shot while sitting in his car in the parking lot of  a bar in the 22-hundred block of West Station Street. Further investigation by medical staff determined the victim had not been shot, but instead had injuries from broken glass caused by the shooting. Police reports say the victim wouldn’t provide officers with the name of the shooter, but did tell police he had a previous conflict with the alleged shooter. He reportedly also told police “he’d take care of it himself”. City police continue to investigate that incident as well.
