City Police Confiscate Gun

Kankakee City Police report another gun was taken off the streets Wednesday. According to reports, officers, it was about 1:30 yesterday morning when officers tried to stop a man in the 400 block of South Indiana Avenue. Reports say the man took off running through a yard on Bourbonnais Street. The officer says he parked his squad car and started to search for the man. That search turned up a loaded handgun with an extended magazine near a shed in the yard of a home in the 300 block of East Bourbonnais. While officers didn’t find the man, they did take the gun back to the station for safe-keeping.
