District 111 Schools Vote to Modify “Learning Anywhere Anytime” Plan

Dec 7, 2021 | 8:11 PM

As of Monday 581 students and 6 adults are in COVID-19 isolation at Kankakee District 111 schools.  As a result, at a special school board meeting this week the board voted to modify its Learning Anywhere Anytime plan to help curb the spread of the virus.  Parents do have options under the plan including allowing their kids to attend classes five days a week.  The Daily Journal reports remote students will have zoom instruction and struggling students will be contacted and mandated to attend school in order to avoid truancy.  The plan goes into effect on Thursday.   So far this year District 111 has seen 126 positive cases of covid 19 in students and 56 in adults.
