Two Kankakee men were recently sentenced in federal court on child enticement charges. In a press release, the United State’s Attorney’s Office for the Central District of Illinois says 31-year-old Kyren Williams and 30-year-old Jazzie Simmons were both sentenced Monday in separate cases. In August, Simmons pleaded guilty to one count of attempted enticement of a minor and was sentenced Monday to a little over seven years in prison to be followed by eight years of supervised release. Williams plead guilty to one count of attempted enticement of a minor and one county of attempted sexual exploitation of a child. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison to be followed by eight years of supervised release. Both Williams and Simmons were arrested Valentine’s Day weekend 2020 in an operation conducted in Kankakee County by the FBI, with the help of Bradley Police, the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office and agents from the Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group.
