Illinois State Police report a 25-year-old Matteson woman was arrested over the weekend after her car collided with a stopped State Police cruiser that had stopped to assist another trooper with a DUI investigation. According to reports, it happened just before Midnight Friday night, when the car driven by Alontae L. Holliday of Matteson collided with the troopers SUV on the northbound shoulder of I-94 near Garfield Boulevard in Cook County. Holliday was charged by State Police for DUI, and other traffic violations as well as a violation of Scott’s Law, which requires drivers move over when you see emergency vehicles. State police say so far this year, 22 ISP squad cars have been hit by Scott’s Law violators and 13 troopers have been injured.
