Attempted Vehicular Arson in Kankakee

Arson is suspected in a car fire early Christmas morning in the 300 block of West Merchant in Kankakee.  According to police, someone set fire to paper on the roof of the vehicle and to paper that had been stuffed into the passenger side of the trunk.  No arrests have been made and there are no damage estimates available.
