County Health Department updates COVID numbers

The Kankakee County Health Department has updated the latest COVID numbers for the past week. In the seven days between December 21st and 28th there were 745 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 13 more COVID-related deaths. Since March of 2020 nearly 22-thousand County residents have been diagnosed with the virus and 319 have died. As of yesterday nearly 121-thousand doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the county and nearly 47 percent of county residents are fully vaccinated against the virus.
