THE MEDIA WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE HAWKINS CENTENNIAL CHAPEL FOR THE VISITATION, FUNERAL OR INTERMENT SERVICES. Media access is restricted to the media staging area identified below. A media staging area has been established on the sidewalk area designated below.
Interment Services
Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery
There will be no be media access to the interment services at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery other than Mr. Alex Vucha who will provide still photo pool of interment services. Contact photographer Alex Vucha direct for photo access. He can be reached by email: avucha516@gmail.com.
Funeral Procession Route
At the conclusion of the funeral services the procession will follow the below route at a low speed. Intersections along the route will be blocked to allow for safe travel of the vehicles in the procession.
The public is highly encouraged to line the route to show support.

Departure: Hawkins Centennial Chapel – Friday, Jan. 7, 2022 immediately following funeral services and first responder walkthrough.
- Leave Hawkins Centennial Chapel take University Avenue to S. Main Street • Turn right onto S Main Street
- Use the left 2 lanes to turn left onto Main Street NW
- Continue onto Illinois Route 102 W
- Turn right onto Illinois Route 53 N/E Baltimore Street (Wilmington IL.) • Continue to follow Illinois Route 53 N
- Turn left onto W Hoff Road
- Continue on Hoff Road (this turns into Abraham Lincoln Boulevard)
