Watseka Man Dies in Crash

Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police are looking into a single-car fatal crash in rural Belmont Township over the weekend. According to reports, officers were called just after 10 Sunday night by a homeowner who told deputies someone had just driven into the back of their house. The deputies, along with Woodland Fire and Riverside EMS responded to the scene and found the driver, 72-year-old Michael J. Miner of Watseka had passed away. Reports say Miner was alone in the car at the time of the crash and the investigation continues into the cause of that crash.
