10 Years for Paxton Man on Child Sex Charges

A Paxton man was sentenced to 10 years in prison today in Federal Court in Urbana, after being found guilty last October to a charge of attempted enticement of a minor while on the social media dating application MeetMe.   52 year old Robert Shawn Anderson was arrested over Valentine’s Day weekend 2020 as part of an FBI operation conducted in Kankakee County with the assistance of the Bradley Police Department, the Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kankakee Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group.  Anderson will also have to serve 5 years of probation after his release.
