Standoff in Channahon Ends Peacefully

Channahon police were called to a gas station parking lot about 9 Sunday morning when passers-by  reported seeing a man beating a woman inside a car as she screamed.   Witnesses tell police when the man realized he was being watched he attempted to drive away, but got stuck in the snow.  When police arrived they retrieved the woman to be treated, but the man refused to leave the car.  Police locked down the immediate area and redirected traffic, after about an hour 28 year old Keyjaun T. Parker of Chicago surrendered himself without incident.  Charges are pending against Parker.  The condition of the woman was not released
