Suspended plate results in drug arrest

Kankakee police arrested a man on drug charges last night after his vehicle was spotted at a gas station on Court Street with suspended license plates.  According to reports an officer saw what appeared to be cocaine in the driver’s side door panel.  According to police, a search of 37 year old Lavel J. Williams and his vehicle turned up more coke and paraphernalia in the center console and some pot on his person.  Williams is facing multiple drug charges.
