Kankakee woman sentenced in federal court

A Kankakee woman is going to prison for theft of social security benefits.  Sharrie McInnis was sentenced in federal court this week to 14 months behind bars.  Prosecutors say McInnis had been claiming Child-In-Care benefits for a grandchild that was not actually in her care.  She received more than 22-thousand-dollars in fraudulent benefits.
