A man who was holding a gun against his head and threatening to kill himself was talked out of it Tuesday night during a two and a half hours of negotiation with Cedar Lake Police. Police were called to the home in the 6200 block of 136th Place about 9 last night and found the armed subject holed up in a bedroom. SWAT personnel first cleared the house of other family members and waited out the man who eventually surrendered without incident. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation. No one was hurt. No shots were fired.
