Rise in gas prices slows

Gas prices continue to climb across Illinois, but the rate has slowed significantly. Triple-A says the price for a gallon of regular no-lead gasoline is 4.571 today, up just a tenth of a cent today. In Kankakee County the average cost is 4.55 a gallon, down two cents from yesterday. In Iroquois County the price is unchanged at 4.37 a gallon.
