Newton County Sheriff’s Police report an accident Monday morning sent a man to the hospital with serious injuries. According to reports, it was just after 11 yesterday morning that a semi stopped at the intersection of Route 41 and highway 10. As the semi started to proceed through the intersection, it was truck in the rear by a delivery truck driven by a 40-year-old man from Lowell Indiana. The driver of the delivery truck had to be cut from his vehicle and was flown by helicopter to Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn where his condition is unknown at this time. Newton County Sheriff’s police say the accident is still under investigation.
