Former Coal City Chief Honored

A section of Rt.113 is getting a new name.  The state senate has approved renaming that stretch of the roadway the Dennis M. Neary Memorial Highway.  It will run between Carbon Hill Road and Virginia Street in Coal City.  Neary was Coal City chief of police for 30 years and served as a volunteer fire fighter for 35 years.  Neary passed away in 2016.
