Autopsy Shows Alverson Suffered Multiple Stab Wounds

Autopsy results Friday on the body of 61 year old Richard A. Alverson show Alverson suffered multiple stab wounds, but Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner says they awaiting the results of toxicology test before declaring a cause of death.  Manteno Police continue to investigate the circumstances of what could turn out to be the first homicide in the village in 24 years. Manteno Police say officers were called to a home in the one-thousand block of Longfellow Drive Thursday night where they found Alverson unconscious.  He later died at the hospital
