Manteno Police Investigate Suspected Homicide

We have a few more details now on a suspected homicide in the Village of Manteno last night. Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner says 61-year-old Richard A. Alverson of Manteno died in the emergency room at a local hospital just before 9:30 last night after he was brought in by ambulance. Manteno Police and the Illinois State Police continue to investigate the details surrounding Alverson’s death.
