Bradley the New, Proud Owner of JC Penny’s

Following an executive session at lasts night Bradley Village Board meeting, it was announced that Bradley is now the new owner of the shuttered JC Penny’s portion of Northfield Sq. mall.  The village will pay 577,000 thousand dollars for the property.  Bradley paid 1.1 million dollars for the empty Carson’s Men store in 2019.   Mayor Mike Watson tells the Daily Journal that the village is not actively looking at buying any more mall property.  The village and a consultant group are exploring what the mall could look like in the future, but no plans have been proposed.
