Kankakee City Police Arrest Man for Gun Violations

Kankakee City Police report a traffic stop Monday ended with an arrest. According to reports, officers stopped the car driven by 25-year-old Leeaundre L. Key in the area of Court and Entrance because he was allegedly known to be driving on a suspended license. During the stop, officers asked Key if there was any cannabis in the car, to which he allegedly said “yes” and showed officers a baggie of suspected cannabis. Officers then searched Key’s car, and that search allegedly turned up a loaded handgun. Key was taken into custody for several weapons violations.
