Crash Shuts Down 57 Today

Both sides of I-57 were closed for about an hour earlier this afternoon because of an accident near Monee, all lanes have since reopened.   Monee police say the accident involved an extrication and said a helicopter had to be brought in to evacuate an injury.  State police have not yet released any details on the crash.
