Bradley Police report the arrest of a man following the alleged theft of cigarettes from a local business. According to reports, Bradley Police were called to a gas station in the 100 block of South Kinzie Avenue about 2 Tuesday morning for a burglar alarm that was going off. When they got there, officers say they saw a person run from the station to a pickup parked nearby and the pickup took off southbound down Route 50. After a short chase, the pickup reportedly slowed and the passenger jumped from the truck just south of Mound Grove Cemetery. The driver of the car, 56-year-old Tony Butler of Kankakee was taken into custody by Bradley police for Burglary and Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding among other charges. Reports say a search of the area failed to turn up the other suspect in the case.
