Fatal Crash Friday on I-55 at Gardner

A St. Louis man was killed in an accident over the long holiday weekend on I-55 near Gardner.   It happened Friday afternoon when Grundy County Coroner’s office says 49 year old Derrel James Warner lost control crossed into median and went on to hit a southbound jeep head on before spinning into a semi.  Warner was ejected from the vehicle in the process and was pronounced dead at the scene.
