Divided Scam Running in Newton County

Newton County Sheriffs police say there was a scam taking place in the Lake Township area yesterday.  It was a divided attention scam where one of the scammers draws your attention at something outside while a second scammer enters your home and grabs what he can.  Newton County sheriff’s police urging you not to let anyone in your home unless you’re certain who they are and advises you keep your doors locked.
