A Wilmington man who was let out on parole less than 3 months ago for motor vehicle thefts is back behind bars after allegedly stealing three vehicles and leading police on a chase in Grundy County this morning that ended when 21 year old Zachery M. Palmer crashed head-on into a school bus. That was after police say he sideswiped several other vehicles including a Grundy County Squad Car. It all started when Kankakee County Sheriffs police tracked a stolen vehicle with On-Star to a home off Rt. 113. The car was there, but the driver was not. Also missing was a neighbor’s vehicle. A short time later Grundy County Sheriffs Police spotted the vehicle and the chase was on. The school bus was not carrying any children at the time of the crash. The press release does not mention any injuries.
