Apparent Homicide in Pembroke Township

Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police are investigating an apparent homicide in Pembroke Township last night.  Police say they were called to the SS Friendly Mart at about 9:20 last night for a report of shots fired.  Upon arrival deputies found evidence that led them to the body of 21-year-old Derrick Wren the 3 ^rd of Pembroke. He was pronounced dead on the scene.  The coroner’s office has scheduled an autopsy today to determine an exact cause of death.  No arrests have been made, call crime stoppers at 93 crime if you can assist the investigation.
