Mask Up For School

Aug 5, 2021 | 9:55 AM
In an effort to slow down the spread of the delta variant of the covid 19 virus, state officials are once again putting into place masking requirements in schools.    Governor JB Pritzker announced today that all students in grades P-12 will be required to wear masks indoors to begin the school year.  The governor sites low vaccination rates for teens 12 to 17 and no vaccine approved for kids under 12 as justification for the new mitigation.  The state will also require masks be worn in all long term care facilities.
