Kankakee City Police Arrest Man on Outstanding Warrants

Just after 1:30 Tuesday afternoon City Police were called to a business on Riverstone Parkway for an alleged shoplifter. When they got there officers were told the man had taken off heading west behind other buildings in the area. A search of the area allegedly turned up 51-year-old Marcell Burns hiding in some bushes with the allegedly stolen items. Turns out Burns had several warrants out for his arrest. Burns was taken to the Jerome Combs Detention Center for retail theft and the outstanding warrants.
