Traffic Stop Nets Deputies Drug Arrest

A traffic stop Monday netted Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police a drug arrest. According to reports, it was about noon yesterday deputies stopped the pick-up driven by 45-year-old Brent M Rose of rural Kankakee for pulling a trailer without a licence plate. Reports say Rose was acting nervous and when asked he allegedly told deputies he had ammunition in the truck and his FOID card had been revoked. A search of the pick-up allegedly turned up the ammunition, a handgun and a suspected illegal drugs. Rose was taken into custody by deputies for gun and drug violations.
