A traffic crash Wednesday netted Bradley Police a drug arrest. According to reports, officers were called to a crash at Kennedy Drive and Brookmont Boulevard just before six Wednesday evening. When they got there, officers were told a passenger in one of the cars, identified as 32-year-old Kyle Warner had been a passenger in one of the cars and had taken off because he knew he had a warrant out for his arrest. Bradley Police say Warner was spotted walking near the accident a short time later, but again fled when he saw police. After finding Warner hiding near a home, reports say Bradley police ordered Warner out at taser point, but Warner allegedly refused to take his hands out of his pockets and get on the ground. Reports say after officers tasered Warner he complied with officers, but not before throwing something away from him. That “something” allegedly turned out to be a plastic baggie containing suspected illegal drugs. Bradley police took Warner into custody, charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and resisting police along with the outstanding Kankakee County warrant.
