Traffic Claims Lockport Woman

Illinois State Police report a single-car Will County crash took the life of a Lockport woman. According to reports, 20-year-old Miranda Rivera was westbound on Bruce Road near Route 171 just before 4:15 Thursday morning, when she failed to stop at an intersection, went down an embankment, hit several trees and a pole. Reports go on to say the car then burst into flames. Rivera was taken to the hospital where she died of her injuries.
