There’s some good news for those recovering from the recent flooding in Gibson City and the surrounding area. State Representative Tom Bennett, whose 106th District includes the affected area, says the Federal Small Business Administration has approved disaster assistance for Ford County and neighboring counties. Bennett says there are three types of low interest loans available to businesses, non-profits, renters and home owners
Bennett says the deadline to apply for physical disaster or home loans is October 22nd. The deadline for economic injury disaster loans is May 23rd of next year. A “disaster loan outreach center” has been set up at the Gibson City Fire Department.
