Bradley Arrest Man Armed Man

Bradley Police report an arrest Monday that involved a firearm. According to reports, it was just after 5 Monday morning when Bradley police were called to a home in the 15-hundred block of Girard Avenue for an unknown problem. While on their way to the address, Bradley Police were told County Deputies had been in contact with 28-year-old Diamond Armstrong at the entrance to a local business about an hour earlier, because of an alleged domestic issue. Once at the Girard location, officers say they found Armstrong grasping a bag in one hand and holding onto a woman with the other hand. When told to drop the bag and let the other woman go, Armstrong allegedly dropped the bag and ran to a car, at which time the other woman was able to get away and Bradley Police were able to take Armstrong into custody. A search of the bag allegedly turned up a handgun and some prescription pills. Armstrong was arrested by Bradley Police for aggravated assault with a weapon, possession of a controlled substance and obstructing police along with other charges.
