Congressman Adam Kinzinger, who is already facing multiple challengers in next year’s republican primary because of his lack of support for former president Donald Trump, may end up not have a seat to defend. Politico, quoting unnamed sources, is reporting that Illinois Democrats redrawing the congressional district map in Springfield are planning to remove Kinzinger 16 th congressional district all together. Due to a declining population, Illinois is expected to lose one congressional seat following last year’s census. Kinzinger tells Politico that if he loses his seat he might very well consider a run for Governor or Senator.
