Two Killed in Head-on Crash on Route 17 West

Illinois State Police are looking into a crash late last night that killed two people on Route 17 near Bonfield. Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner says the head-on crash happened just before midnight last night and killed both 47-year-old Jerry Stallins of Bourbonnais and 37-year-old Michael Jordan of Kankakee. Gessner says one car was westbound on Route 17, the other eastbound when the collision happened. The investigation into the cause of the crash is being handled by the State Police.
